Winter Wonderland

For the past week, it has been snowing almost continously. It had almost melted away on Friday, but then last night, the biggest blast came - 8 inches of new snow. When we went outside this morning, a thin layer of ice had formed over the snow, so that you'd crack it with a crunch as you walked - creating granite-like slabs of ice. We even had to crack the ice to find Manjeet's soccer ball. And yet it almost seemed like spring, because ice clung to branches like newborn buds. Though we've been trapped in the house, our cousins from Canada are over so it's been fun for the last two days. Earlier in the week (when the snow was moderate, unlike today) I took some photos of the snow to share with you.

Holy mackarel, Ravleen! That's a lot of snow! I wished it would snow here in San Jose, one of my teachers from school said that it snowed here in San Jose back in 1976.
