Beijing 2008 Olympics Opening Ceremony Coverage

I am watching the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics Games opening ceremony. First of up is a Chinese drummer group engaging the audience and the spectators in their awesome drum numbers and the countdown to the Olympic Games, and next up is the Chinese national anthem "March of the Volunteers" and a little Chinese girl named Lin Mioka, I hope I spelled it right, has sang several Chinese songs about unity and world peace, and several fireworks display, and next is a LED "scroll" television set in which some Chinese skaters skate on the television that is representing Chinese calligraphy of prosperity and peace, next up is a demonstration of Confucian disciples showing off their traditions and of course promoting the Confucianism religion, which is quite interesting, I am loving every minute of it, now please keep in mind that I am watching it live on TV from the Beijing National Stadium, nicknamed "Bird's Nest" because of its size and of course state-of-the-art technology, for the Olympics stadium on NBC. The background music is beautiful; it is unbelievable and incredible.

Next up is a traditional Chinese dance and a demo of China's maritime and naval tradition and a picture of Zheng He and his fleet of ships and next is a dance by some Chinese dancers and up next is a piano concerto by 26 year old Liang Liang and a 7 year old Chinese girl and up next is a demonstration of Chinese dancers and let's skip ahead to the Parade of Nations, which I enjoyed very much, and I am rooting for the Indian Olympic Team and the U.S. Olympics Team. Go USA and India!

Awesome! I missed it but I'm going to watch some of the games tonight or whenever I can! :D

And in 2010, the winter Olympics are in Vancouver, BC...only 5 hours driving distance from my residence!

By the way, the song "Gloria" from the band Them was from The Outsiders movie, that's why I put it on the blog radio.

Ravleen, I think we should put the U.S. Olympic Team logo next to the Hunjan Cousins logo to show our support, just how like AT&T and McDonald's and Bank of America do it.

Ravleen, how do you like "Gloria" by Them?

Have you heard about the death of Ishmeet Singh Sodhi, an Amul STAR Voice of India star?

Nick Jonas has Type 1 diabetes.
